To fulfill customer demand for additional high quality primary human cells and services, the company is seeking a qualified professional skilled in primary human cell-based assay development and screening to help us meet our research and production goals.

Job Requirements

ZenBio is looking for a qualified applicant with a Bachelor’s degree in life science and a minimum of 6 years of industrial experience in establishing, performing and troubleshooting cell-based assays. Requirements for this position include competent laboratory technique, excellent documentation skills including record keeping and report writing, troubleshooting skills, time management skills and computer skills. The successful candidate must have the ability to conduct laboratory experiments independently and analyze data. This person is expected to be able to develop SOP’s, set specific measurable milestones, and monitor progress against these goals. The candidate must be skilled at interpreting experimental data, must be able to draw conclusions and be able to develop as well as modify experimental conditions. Experience preparing data for publication, for presentation at scientific meetings, or for delivery to customers is also required.

Duties: human primary cell culture and cryopreservation; cell-based assay development; high throughput cell-based screening; in vitro assay development, validation and screening; analysis of experimental protocols and techniques; collection of data; Performing contract research including preparing proposals, conducting the research, data analysis, writing reports, and interacting with contract scientists. Occasional evening and weekend hours are expected.

Qualified candidates must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or related field.
Minimum of 6 years relevant industrial experience.
Experienced in primary cell biology and biochemistry.
Team player with leadership capabilities
Good communication and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Office and Data analysis software
