Job Description


Production Supervisor:
Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor will oversee execution of manufacturing activities on the floor. They will be adept in the use of the associated production equipment and will provide direct support and labor during operations. The Production Supervisor will ensure product quality through real time review of production batch records and logbooks, lead training of production operators, and coordinate activities associated with manufacturing with other departments.
Responsibilities:
-Lead Execution of API/Drug Product manufacturing operations in the Company’s cGMP facility, including:
-Request and dispense raw materials for manufacture
-Operate process reactors, filters, dryers, fillers, centrifuge, milling, and formulation equipment
-Sample product for release testing
-Clean and maintain production equipment and areas
-Maintain a safe working environment
-Observe and follow all safe operation practices
-Waste management
-Communicate schedules and coordinate operations with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Maintenance to ensure appropriate support for manufacturing activities.
-Supervise and perform employee training.
-Review manufacturing batch records, logbooks, and documentation
-Ensure the quality of the product and the safety of the employees through proper execution of procedure.
-Author and review production deviations, procedures, master manufacturing batch records, and other documentation.

Job Requirements


Requirements:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking
• Attention to detail and good documentation skills
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions as written
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Honest, flexible, dependable, self-motivated team player with the demonstrated ability to work
independently. Willingness to accept responsibility and work assignments
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage time to complete multiple projects within established
timelines and goals with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 4 -10 years experience in a GMP manufacturing environment (College education may be
substituted for manufacturing experience)
• Proficiency in MS office software
Preferred:
• College Degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent
• Prior experience writing deviations, procedures, and corrective actions
