Job Description

Individual Military Internship -Warehouse Operations Biopharma Mfg.
NCBiotech Veterans Outreach Program - Intern Location: Seqirus-Holly Springs, NC

The Military intern should have prior and/or current experience working in a warehouse type environment. Internship report hours/days will be determined based on assignment not to exceed 40 internship hours per week. Forklift certification a plus and minimum high school diploma required. Military certifications and/or work experience in shipping/receiving, hazardous material handling, inventory processes, and Lean Six Sigma principals are considered a plus for this internship. Must have a clean background and be in good standing in your current Military position. Military experiences using SAP (G-Army) considered a plus for this internship role.

This Military internship offers the opportunity to receive real-time on-the-job experience in the following: Performs all aspects of GMP warehousing operations for Seqirus to include shipping, receiving, general warehouse and cold storage, inventory management, movement of raw materials/consumables and finished product, while functioning as part of a high-performance work team.

Additional Information Regarding Each Internship:
•All roles are up to 12-16-weeks in length and require at minimum a H.S. diploma. For all internship roles, any Military experience following SOP (standard operating procedures) and/or good documentation practices are considered a plus. Your ability to work in an environment requiring the ability to complete multiple tasks timely and accurately are required.

•For all roles, any experience with PowerPoint, excel, word experience will be considered a plus yet not mandatory. Exposure to lean six sigma, continuous improvement practices, or training are additional assets for these roles yet not required.

•All roles do require the ability to manage and work in an environment requiring the capability to complete multiple tasks timely and effectively. Service members must be considered in good standing with their Chain of Command, have a clean background, and will be subject to pre-onboarding processes at the respective “host” company.

Job Requirements

The selected Military intern will be responsible for and will receive real-time on the job experience and biopharma industry training in the following operational areas:

• Follows all safety, GMP, and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
• Inventory control of newly received components/materials to include put away and storage
• Material requisitions and staging area replenishment
• Issuance, returns and transfers of raw materials, components, supplies and finished product
• Physical inventory to include periodic cycle counts
• Preparation and shipping of finished product
• Loads/unloads trailers
• Daily inspections and operation of all powered industrial trucks
• Maintains up to date training status in all required areas
• Assist in the training of relevant warehouse equipment and operations
