Job Description

Tellus is a mission-driven company dedicated to developing safe and effective treatments for unmet needs in newborns. Tellus is translating breakthrough science from Duke University targeting compounds identified in breast milk to repair brain injury in premature infants who are at significant risk for life-long neurological impairments, such as cerebral palsy, and for whom no treatments exist.

Internship Activities*
The intern will perform tasks that both contribute to company objectives and provide experience for career and personal development. Activities will include participation in meetings with management and collaborators, contribution to operations relevant to their area of interest and completion of defined projects to support success and growth of Tellus, e.g., market research, pipeline development.

This internship requires a commitment of 15 hours per week over 11 weeks, and is available starting in June.

This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

Undergraduate degree in life sciences or business discipline

Pending, current or recent graduate student in life sciences or business discipline

Ideal if applicant has experience/interest in life sciences/medicine, drug/product development process and/or the business/financing models that apply to life sciences companies.
