Job Description

Verinetics is developing secure, take-home dispensing, IoT systems that remotely monitor and control access to medicines. Our systems reduce potential for misuse, diversion or theft through a proprietary tracking/deactivation mechanism that also encourages medications compliance. Our initial product focus is on increased access and safety of methadone for take home therapy for opioid use disorder.

Internship Activities*

1. Identifying non-dilutive funding opportunities relevant to company strategic objectives.

2. Contributing to applications, including those identified by candidate

3. Help develop the company narrative in marketing materials, e.g., web site content, brochures, etc.

This internship requires a commitment of 15 hours per week over 12 weeks, and is available starting in June.

This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

Verinetics is seeking a candidate with passion to contribute to our efforts to minimize the pain and suffering of the opioid epidemic, which has been made worse by COVID19. Qualified candidates will be PhD students in life science, PharmD, MPH, or MBA or law students with life science background. Outstanding undergraduates also may be considered. Excellent written communications skills are a must.
