Job Description

Triangle Biotechnology is a start-up company that fuses ultrasonic engineering with molecular biology. We specialize in developing novel methods for reliable, efficient, and high-throughput acoustic processing of biological samples for personalized medicine applications. This includes workflows such as cell lysis and DNA shearing for next-generation sequencing, with a focus on challenging samples.

Internship Activities*
Triangle Biotechnology is developing a new technology for lysis of bacteria. The intern's project will be to assist in performing extensive primary and secondary market research to understand (1) customer segments, (2) market size, and (3) industry competition that are relevant to our new product. The final deliverable will be a detailed report summarizing the results of their market research.

This internship requires a commitment of 10 hours per week over 19 weeks, and is available starting immediately.

This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

Triangle Biotechnology is looking for a graduate level student with experience in market research, Business and/or Science background preferred. The intern will conduct primary market research in the form of customer discovery interviews (under advisement of the Triangle Biotechnology team), as well as secondary market research in the form of analyzing market reports and extracting relevant market landscape information from scientific and other literature.
