Job Description

inSoma was founded to develop artificial proteins that enable surgeons to better rebuild tissue. By borrowing nature’s own designs, we can create unique biomaterials to solve pressing problems in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Internship Activities*
Intern will help develop and optimize new artificial protein polymers. This project will include hands-on experience across different levels of protein production, from DNA design ultimately to in vitro demonstration of utility.

This internship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week over 10 weeks, and is available starting in June.

This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

Scientific (wet lab) background is strongly preferred. Undergraduate or graduate students are welcome, and project scope can be altered to reflect incoming expertise.
