Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Conducts experiments under limited supervision and maintains excellent notebook documentation in a GMP/GLP laboratory following Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA principles.
Performs In Vitro Release Testing (IVRT) for topical formulations such as Gels, Creams, Ointments, Films and Ophthalmic Solutions as per customer needs.
Prepares solutions for IVRT and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis such as Receiving Media and Mobile Phase.
Performs calibration verification and operate micro and analytical balances for standard and reagent preparation.
Calibrates and operate pH meter for Buffer solution adjustments.
Operates data acquisitions system Empower 3.
Compiles data for quantitative analyses using Empower 3 and Microsoft Excel.
Manages day to day activities in the laboratory, including chemical inventory. Procurement of laboratory materials from stock supply and equipment maintenance.
Safely handles and disposes of laboratory materials including hazardous materials as defined in Tergus Standard Operating Procedures.
Dons half face respirator as part of safe handling of hazardous materials.
Provides support to team members as needed.
Follows guidelines and SOPs during method development and validation.
Works with limited supervision and interact with colleagues efficiently.
Collaborates with peers and supervisors to perform trouble shooting activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
A.S. or B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline, 0+ years of experience
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
