Job Description


The Xenon MRI Shared Resource (https://sites.duke.edu/driehuyslab/) at Duke University is seeking a student computer programmer to provide part-time support of our research program. Our team is advancing Xenon MRI technology, a specialized technique for obtaining high-resolution 3D images of lung function. Our team is advancing this state of the art technology to ultimately help improve the care of patients with a wide range of pulmonary diseases.

The person selected for this position will provide programming support using both Matlab and Python 3.0 to advance our platform for quantitative image analysis. They will help improve and streamline our existing software tools, and develop additional code as needed to advance our end-to-end image analysis pipeline. Qualified applicants should have demonstrated hands-on experience in scientific programming, and be able to commit at least 8 hrs/week to the effort. The position also provides the opportunity for continued work during summer 2020 if mutually agreeable.
