Job Description

The Pre-Blend Powder Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the work of the manufacturing operators in Weigh/staging, and Slant Cone Blending. They will have two leads, one for each department reporting to them. They will work closely with the Blend Powder Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure overall blending expectations for the facility are achieved or exceeded. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that work is scheduled and performed in a safety and quality conscious environment, while maintaining productivity expectations. This position will monitor staffing requirements and advise Manager of changing needs. The Supervisor will be responsible for meeting or exceeding all scheduled expectations for his/her departments, along with complete adherence to company and regulatory procedures and requirements.


• Plan, supervise and direct manufacturing personnel to achieve short and long term departmental objectives
• Must have a thorough understanding of Dept SOPs and ability to train and impart that knowledge to operators.
• Ensure staff is properly trained on applicable SOPs and competent in all technical aspects of their positions
• Problem solves / troubleshoots production issues and recommends solutions.
• Implements changes to maximize production yields and efficiencies
• Actively promote and maintain a safe work environment
• Will be responsible for maintaining PRD inventory at 96% or above.
• Maintains daily correspondence with the Sanitation department for scheduled cleaning needs.
• Establish staffing guidelines and distribute workload so as to deliver maximum results
• Maintain two way dialog with direct reports on work and results
• Communicate company and departmental goals and objectives assuring that these are clearly understood by the shift
• Complete and maintain all necessary documentation including applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) documents
• Work with Maintenance, Quality Control and other departments as needed in order to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and cGMP Standards
• Administer company policies regarding attendance, conduct, performance, quality, safety and teamwork
• Interacts daily with Quality and Planning to assure production schedules are met or exceeded.
• Works closely with Process Engineering to improve line efficiencies and speed up processing time.
• Responsible for personnel development. Instruct, train, motivate and assist employees so that company and departmental objectives are achieved
• Accountable for department results
• Other duties as assigned

Supervises up to 50 Manufacturing operators

Job Requirements


• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
• A minimum of two years of work experience in an FDA/GMP regulated production operation.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two year technical degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience
