Job Description
PhD level scientist (Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS) Data Analyst / Bioinformatician) sought to support product development, services and manufacturing for a rapidly growing biotechnology company.
Candidate will be directly responsible for both next NGS data analysis and conducting related wet lab experiments (CUT&RUN, ChIP-seq, etc).
In addition, candidate will manage data backups, perform custom data analyses and communicate same to customers.
Candidate will develop, validate and update best-practices pipelines for ChIP-seq, epigenetics and related methods.
Job Requirements
PhD with 2+ years of both dry and wet lab experience.
Prior employment in a commercial science setting strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Linux, setting up servers, installing packages, bash scripting, etc. 2+ years of Python programming, data visualization, ability to read and modify source code required.
Basic Molecular Biology skills, and ability to conduct next-gen sequencing methods (CUT&RUN, ChIP-seq, etc) are essential.
Ability to work toward specific goals under minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and team skills
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Superior communication and organizational skills.
Experience working with public NGS datasets and consortia.
