Job Description

Avazyme is a privately owned ISO17025:2017 accredited contract research laboratory, that provides customized GLP laboratory testing for sectors including agchem, agbiotech, food and beverage producers and retailers, and pharmaceuticals with a strong regulatory science and biotechnology focus. Capabilities include mass spectrometry, immunochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.

Internship Activities*
Hemp and Cannabis based research on various hemp derived products and processes. The project involves literature research, laboratory testing in analytical chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, bioprocessing, and biochemistry.

This internship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week over 12 weeks, and is available starting immediately.

This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

A student currently enrolled in a community college, undergraduate or masters program with a life science focus. Microbiology and molecular biology focus preferred. Must be able to work in a chemistry and biology laboratory, including BSL 2 biology lab.
