Job Description


Position Summary
The Sr. Research Scientist, Lead is responsible for leading development projects related to the use of
bioMASON technologies in novel infrastructural applications. This role is a part of the Contracts R&D
group and will have the opportunity to lead novel R&D projects for industry and government projects.
Key Responsibilities
? Project management for contract research related to biocementation applications using
bioMASON’s technologies.
? Manage a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to execute project
aims,
? Responsible for authoring regular technical reports and supporting documentation.
? Coordinates with the CTO and Director for maintaining and executing development agendas.
? Collects, analyzes, and documents data and proposes strategies for continued process
development and execution.
? Implements existing, modified, and new material testing strategies for characterizing and
tracking process material performance.
? Coordinates with internal and external resources to satisfy project requirements and achieve
project goals.

Job Requirements


Qualifications and Requirements
? Advanced Degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related
field of study.
? Previous work in an industrial research and development environment.
? Ability to travel up to 15% to direct field prototype demonstrations.
? Experience in technical writing, reporting, and milestone-driven applications research.
? Technical expertise and interest in applied engineering and/or material systems and processes.
? Demonstrates strong data collection, records management, and analysis skills.
? 3 or more years of proven effective project management experience in leading research.
? Ability to work with a small team under tight deadlines.

? Military experience strongly preferred
? Highly organized and possess excellent attention to detail
? An excellent communicator.
? Demonstrable understanding of soil engineering and fluid dynamics.
