Job Description


PhD level scientist (Next-Gen Sequencing (NGS) Data Analyst / Bioinformatician) sought to support product development, services and manufacturing for a rapidly growing biotechnology company.

Candidate will be directly responsible for both next NGS data analysis and conducting related wet lab experiments (CUT&RUN, ChIP-seq, etc).

In addition, candidate will manage data backups, perform custom data analyses and communicate same to customers. Candidate will develop, validate and update best-practices pipelines for ChIP-seq, epigenetics and related methods.

Job Requirements


PhD with 2+ years of both dry and wet lab experience. Prior employment in a commercial science setting strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Linux, setting up servers, installing packages, bash scripting, etc. 2+ years of Python programming, data visualization, ability to read and modify source code required.

Basic Molecular Biology skills, and ability to conduct next-gen sequencing methods (CUT&RUN, ChIP-seq, etc) are essential.

Ability to work toward specific goals under minimal supervision.
Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience working with public NGS datasets and consortia.
