Proposed activities to be undertaken by the intern:
  • The intern will shadow roles within the department they join to get a full view of overall operations there within
  • Duties will be primarily or solely administrative in nature.
  • Responsible for achieving educational goals as assigned by the department within daily business operations.
  • Internship projects will be determined for each intern role and will be assigned to compliment the role of the department they join.
  • Consistent with learning objectives in most school classes, the department will structure this internship to provide the intern with an individual training program, or tailor an intern's tasks toward an educational goal.
  • The intern will receive ongoing instruction and close onsite supervision throughout the internship.

    This internship requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week over 8-12 weeks, and is available starting in August.

    This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education. Currently enrolled in or have graduated less than one year prior from an accredited educational institution or certificate program. Additionally, must meet eligibility requirements set forth in the Company’s Student Fellow Program. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail. Above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills. Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.

Previous education or work in the business, life science, biology, or clinical research fields are highly desirable.
