Business Development Internship - SciKon Innovation

is a life-sciences tools company. SciKon creates and distributes life-science products that replicate the performance of human organ systems using platform fluidic devices. Our main product, the SciFlow 1000 Fluidic Culture System (SciFlow System), improves pharmaceutical, cosmetic, environmental and chemical companies’ ability to predict human exposure responses to drug compounds and toxicants that they are developing. SciKon’s products have been on the market since company inception in 2009. In Q1 2016, SciKon hard-launched the SciFlow System to the market with an initial primary focus on the in pharmaceutical drug metabolism segment. In Q1 2018, SciKon is introducing a second SciFlow platform product, for 3D integrated human system-physiology, that links 10 human systems on the benchtop. Efforts are for in vitro to in vivo extrapolations (IVIVE), benchtop to clinic.
Proposed intern projects:
Creation of market literaure; application notes and technical bulletins for website uploads.
Assist with SBIR grantsmanship; SBIR Phase-1 feasability and SBIR Phase-2 product developments.
Identify B2B partnership opportunities for market entry.
We have just launch our second bio-device product. We need assistance in market awareness (e.g. linkedin)
Alternative market and product entry plans for SciKon's new biodevice tools.
Evaluate other beach-head markets that are easy to penetrate.
Microfluidics and Bio-tool competitive landscape; evaluate competitor companies are IP limits.
Market assessments in the pharmaceutical, toxicological, regenerative medicine, cosmetics, and environmental fields.
Personal feedback from “product use” and limitations; overview of 50 potential new clients.
Literature for market use and end-user awareness : publication of white papers, blogs and marketing materials

Prefer a STEM or Healthcare or Environmental exposure background; high-enery undergraduate is adequate
Requires “hands-on” individual to complete some business/product evaluations
Intern must be familiar with principles of cell manufacture as our engineered devices include living biologic components
A desire to be engaged in marketing;" information sharing, awareness raising, market penetration strategies, market adjustments
Good communication skills, writing, document review, and editing
