Flow Cytometry Team Leader

The Integrated Oncology division of LabCorp is seeking a Lab Services Team Leader t to join their Flow Cytometry team!
This position will have 2nd shift hours, Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00pm to 8:30pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedules and prioritizes work hours to ensure adequate coverage.
Makes sure specimens are tested completely, accurately and within established time frames Guides and/or redirects department staff as needed to manage workflow in addition to covering benches as assigned by supervisor.
Keeps supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilities.
Trains employees, and monitors performance of all employees in work group. Supplies objective input to supervisor in the evaluation of employees' over-all job performance.
Performs various QA functions, including review of daily pending, collection of turnaround time data, staffing metrics.
Performs various QC functions including reagent, instrument quality control.
Takes proper steps to resolve any identification discrepancies and documents action taken.
Makes decisions regarding further actions (extra markers, recognize inconsistencies due to processing, recognize problem with information provided by client such as DX, CBC, etc.).
Participates in validations, reports, special projects

License/Certification/Education: Requires a B.A./B.S. in Biology or related life science to include completion of 16 credit hours of Biology, 16 credit hours of Chemistry, and 3 credit hours of math.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Clinical Diagnostic Lab setting (4 years at the Technologist level), 7 years of experience in a Clinical Diagnostic Lab setting (6 years at the Technologist level) preferred, including 2 years of Flow Cytometry experience.
