bioMASON is seeking a Research Scientist in Marine Biology. This is a Full­time Associate position, responsible for participation in fundamental research and development agendas for bioMASON’s novel biocementation technologies. This position reports to the Research Microbiologist and the Chief Technology Officer.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
­ Master Degree or higher in Marine Biology or a related field of study.
­ Minimum 2­years work experience in a research team.
Responsibilities, Tasks and Outcomes:
­ Data collection and analysis of environmental conditions of specified marine environments to document consistent and fluctuating mineral and organic content of marine waters.
­ Management and deployment of impact studies with bioMASON materials in simulated and field conditions..
­ Coordination with biotechnology, process development, and materials testing teams.
­ Literature review and internal dissemination.
­ Performing other duties assigned by your supervisor
Required Skills and Interests:
­ Experienced in the study of marine ecologies particularly with respect to marine microorganisms.
­ Demonstrable understanding of the chemical and biological constituents of marine waters.
­ Ability to collect, manage, and analyze large data sets.
­ Experienced in the application, modification, and development of standard and novel laboratory assays.
­ Experimental design, documentation, and technical writing skills.
­ Ability to work on small team under tight deadlines
