Meetings Specialist – Domestic and International Travel/To $50s

Our client, a conferences consulting company that specializes in providing meeting technologies, audiovisual production, and creative services to the life sciences industry, is actively recruiting for a very sharp, self-directed, technologically-savvy and exceedingly industrious candidate to assume key role on its Client Services team.
This company works with meeting and event planners around the world and, through consultation and partnership, delivers media and other creative solutions that serve the meeting’s mission and message. The company is a global leader in its field and is experiencing significant growth. This Meetings Specialist Account Manager is the primary client contact, and is instrumental in ensuring a superb client experience.
This position will involve partnering with the client contact(s) to understand the event mission, audience and resources and then working with internal team members as well as other specialty vendors to develop and implement, with flawless execution, strategies and tactics that will meet(and exceed) expectations. This company prides itself on exceptional service delivery, and seeks a candidate who brings a similar service philosophy to the role.
Other things to note:
? Travel is extensive (~50-60%), and involves domestic and occasional international locations.
? This Specialist will oversee the process from initial RFP through the execution of the on-site meeting. Strong project management skills will be critical.
? This Specialist will communicate with a broad array of stakeholders including numerous client contacts, partner vendors, internal personnel and staff. Clear, timely, thoughtful, thorough and persuasive communication skills will be critical.
? This Specialist may be called upon to troubleshoot technological and/or presentation issues. Technical aptitude, including PowerPoint skills, will be important.
? Position will pay to $50 (based on experience). This is a Direct Hire role.
Targeted candidate will offer a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience of meeting planning or project management experience in a client services role. The ideal candidates will come from similar roles in the life science industries. Other priorities include:
? Exceptional project planning skills --- including problem solving and trouble shooting
? Technological savvy
? Advanced MS Office, including extensive PowerPoint work
? Superb and versatile communicative abilities
