Looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Regenerative Medicine Group at United Therapeutics. The position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment. The applicant will participate in variety of activities related to the preparation of decellularized scaffolds for in vitro and in vivo experiments to meet departmental objectives.

• Handling and surgical preparation of primary tissues and decellularized scaffolds.
• Preparation of required materials and solutions.
• Performance and documentation of decellularization related processes.
• Performance of assays and measures to assess quality of solutions and materials.
• Documentation of process and procedural results.
• Help maintain smooth operations of the lab, including maintaining lab supplies, monitoring equipment, providing lab support, and helping to identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills:
• Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail and quality of work.
• Be capable of independent as well as team work.
• Multitasking abilities, flexibility, and adaptability to changing and challenging environment are essential.
• The applicant must be physically capable of moving or lifting heavy objects.
• Proficient computer skills utilizing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Job Requirements

Minimum degree and field of knowledge:
• A bachelor's degree in biological sciences or equivalent is preferred
• Associates degree with relevant work experience will be considered

Recommended research experience:
• At least 2 years of directly-related laboratory employment preferred, relevant course work or project-based undergraduate research experience will be considered.
• Past experience with aseptic technique through microbiology or cell culture efforts and/or tissue handling or dissection is desired
• Prior manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment will be favored
