Looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Regenerative Medicine Group at United Therapeutics. The position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment. The applicant will participate in variety of activities related to the preparation of decellularized scaffolds for in vitro and in vivo experiments to meet departmental objectives.

Duties:
• Handling and surgical preparation of primary tissues and decellularized scaffolds.
• Preparation of required materials and solutions.
• Performance and documentation of decellularization related processes.
• Performance of assays and measures to assess quality of solutions and materials.
• Documentation of process and procedural results.
• Help maintain smooth operations of the lab, including maintaining lab supplies, monitoring equipment, providing lab support, and helping to identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills:
• Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail and quality of work.
• Be capable of independent as well as team work.
• Multitasking abilities, flexibility, and adaptability to changing and challenging environment are essential.
• The applicant must be physically capable of moving or lifting heavy objects.
• Proficient computer skills utilizing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Job Requirements

Minimum degree and field of knowledge: A bachelor's degree in biological sciences or equivalent is preferred. Associates degree with relevant work experience will be considered.
• Recommended research experience: At least 1 year of directly-related laboratory employment preferred, relevant course work or project-based undergraduate research experience will be considered. Past experience with aseptic technique through microbiology or cell culture efforts and/or tissue handling or dissection is desired. Prior manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment will be favored.
