Postdoctoral Fellowship on In Vivo Neutroprotective & Pharmacological Studi
Durham, NC 27707 United States
Goals of the project include: a. studying in vivo neuroprotective properties of plant-produced asialo-rhuEPO and its mechanism of action in a mouse model of ischemia/reperfusion injury; and b. characterizing its general pharmacological characteristics. Studies will utilize a range of molecular techniques and both in vitro model of hypoxia/reoxygenation and in vivo model of ischemia/reperfusion injury. Emphasis is on proficiency in conducting neuroprotective studies in rodents, and research productivity.
Candidate must possess strong spoken and written English skills, hold a Ph.D. and have a strong background in cellular and molecular neuroscience. Prefer candidate has capability to perform stroke/hypoxia models independently.
